Clubhouse Capital secured a $4.0 million bridge loan for the purchaser of this historic luxury townhouse in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood. The borrower, an Academy Award-nominated film director and a British resident working in the US on a special arts-industry visa, had impeccable personal credit in the United Kingdom and substantial annual earnings, but no personal credit history in the US. He paid $3.8 million in cash for the townhouse, spent $2.0 in cash on renovations and needed an additional $4.0 million to complete renovations, but was turned down at several NYC banks. (Winter 2013)
